As per the latest global SSL/TLS security standards, the maximum validity period of newly issued SSL certificates is being reduced to 200 days.
What Does This Mean for You?
- Your SSL renewal/subscription period will remain for the full 1 year as purchased.
- No paid days will be lost or reduced.
- The SSL certificate itself may need to be reissued after 200 days as per the new industry standard.
- The reissued certificate will remain covered under your existing 1-year paid SSL period.
- No additional payment or renewal is required during your existing 1-year subscription period.
- This change applies industry-wide to publicly trusted SSL Certificate Authorities, not specifically to BigHost India.
Example
If you purchase a 1-year SSL, you will receive SSL protection for the entire 1-year paid period.
The only change is that the certificate may need to be reissued during the year due to the new 200-day certificate validity limit.
Your subscription period remains 1 year — only the individual certificate validity is shorter.
